Mayday Malone to play Buttercup Festival!

We’re very excited to announce that we’ll be playing the 24th Annual Historic Nolensville Buttercup Festival! This free festival will be held on Sunday, April 14th in Nolensville, TN. The family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, lots of activities for kids, plus art and shopping at vendor booths. This will be our first public performance in over 7 years, and we’re thrilled for this opportunity to debut some of the new songs we’ve been recording and showcase how we’ve reworked some old fan favorites.
Save the date, more details coming soon!

Don’t call it a comeback…

Mayday Malone has been on hiatus for the past several years. Our lead guitar player decided it was time for him to leave the band. Around the same time, the rest of the band moved to the suburbs and got busy with our family lives. It didn’t take long for us to realized how much we missed making music together. Chris, Daryl, and Scott are now back to working on new music and reworking some of our old favorites as a three-piece. We’ve purchased some recording gear, and are looking forward to releasing some new tracks early next year. We’re also hoping to get in a few select live performances before the end of the year. Much more to come soon. Stay tuned…

New Album, Red Dodge Charger, Available July 12th

Mayday Malone’s 3rd studio effort simultaneously takes us back to our roots and showcases the band’s growth.  Songs such as “12th of June” and “Chasing a Ghost” express the softer, singer-songwriter beginnings of the band, while the raucous “4th of July” proves these guys know how to crank it up.  The John Prine-esque “Wrong Side of Town” weaves a familiar narrative of waking up after night you can’t quite remember, and the catchy title track tells tales of a father’s love for his car through the eyes of his kid.   Traversing a wide range of styles and emotions, this album is sure to have something everyone.

Red Dodge Charger officially releases Tuesday, July 12th, on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, and several other major digital and physical distributors, and will also be available on major music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Radio, and many more.  Stay tuned to our Facebook page and our Twitter machine for the latest on upcoming shows and everything else Mayday Malone.  Hope to see y’all soon!
